We are pleased to announce that Local Space have secured a top credit rating from Standard & Poors for the fifth year in a row. We are currently the only UK Housing Association to hold this AA- rating, which builds on a £61m private placement agreement with MetLife Investment Management, secured against a portfolio of housing in east London, which we announced last month.
Our CEO Josie Parsons says:
“Being the only UK housing association to achieve an AA- credit rating from S&P is an incredible feat and will enable us to continue our work in helping homeless Londoners in east London. The numbers of people living within temporary accommodation in London are close to reaching record levels and we have an increasingly important role in the areas that we operate in. We believe this rating demonstrates with confidence that we are a long-term investor in settled accommodation and addressing the impending homelessness crisis”.
