Problems Paying

What should I do if I have problems paying my rent?

We understand that the pandemic could have affected you financially, and we are keen to support you during these difficult times. If you are falling behind with your rent payments, our Housing team can offer you advice to get you back on track. You agreed to pay your rent on time when you signed your tenancy agreement and rent should always be the first thing you pay, as you could lose your home if you don’t keep up up with your payments.

What can we do to help you pay your rent?

Our Housing team can offer you support and guidance with:

  • Claiming benefits
  • Budgeting and saving money on household bills
  • Organising a payment plan to help get your payments back on track
  • Directing you to organisations that can help you with money matters
