Mark Kent, Operations Director at Local Space, has been appointed as Deputy CEO, with immediate effect. Mark is responsible for our housing, property services and asset management functions and will continue to lead in this area, alongside his Deputy CEO responsibilities.
Mark has been with Local Space since 2018 and has over 20 years’ experience within the affordable housing sector.
Since joining Local Space, Mark has played a pivotal role in steering the organisation through periods of substantial growth and transformation. Under his leadership, the operations division has seen remarkable improvements in performance, customer satisfaction, and housing quality. His initiatives have greatly enhanced Local Space’s service delivery, ensuring affordability and modern living conditions for customers.
Mark has been instrumental in implementing the ‘People First’ cultural transformation at Local Space, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused environment. This transformation led to significant operational improvements, including a reduction in arrears, increased customer and colleague satisfaction, and the successful delivery of a £15 million capital works programme. His strategic oversight and leadership were crucial during the 2022 regulatory In-Depth Assessment (IDA) process resulting in a G1 V1 rating.
