Get involved: new opportunities to help shape your community and our services

We’re inviting residents to get involved in two exciting opportunities that will help strengthen resident voices, improve our neighbourhoods and shape the future of resident engagement at Local Space.

Whether you’re passionate about your block or estate or interested in helping design how residents engage with us in the future, we’d love to hear from you.

Help shape our new Customer Engagement Plan

We are developing a new Customer Engagement Plan to support the delivery of our Corporate Strategy 2025–30: Foundations for Successful Lives and we want residents to help shape it from the very beginning.

We are looking for residents to take part in a series of co-design workshops that will explore:

  • What good resident involvement looks like.
  • How residents currently access and navigate engagement opportunities.
  • New and improved ways for residents to get involved.
  • The development of our Customer Engagement Strategy for 2027–30.

These workshops will bring residents and staff together to share ideas, review current approaches and design future engagement opportunities. Together, we’ll map resident experiences, explore different ways of involving customers and test ideas to ensure our future approach is inclusive and shaped by resident voices.

Whether you’ve been involved before or are completely new to resident engagement, we encourage you to apply.

Register your interest by Friday 24 July.

Become an Estate Champion

Are you passionate about your block or estate and interested in helping to make a positive difference in your community?

We’re looking for residents living in blocks owned by Local Space to become Estate Champions. This voluntary role helps improve communication between residents and Local Space, supporting a more proactive, community-led approach to estate management.

As an Estate Champion, you could:

  • Attend estate inspections alongside Local Space staff.
  • Highlight repairs, cleanliness and environmental issues.
  • Share feedback on behalf of residents in a constructive way.
  • Help promote pride in your block or estate.

No previous experience is required. We’re looking for residents who are interested, reliable, positive and willing to work with others.

Estate Champions will receive:

  • Support from Local Space staff.
  • A clear role description and guidance.
  • Access to free training opportunities.
  • Invitations to resident events and activities.

The initiative launched in April, and we are delighted to already have two Estate Champions supporting blocks we own.

If you live in a Local Space-owned block and would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.

By getting involved, you can help improve your community, influence how we work, and ensure resident voices remain at the heart of everything we do.
