Mark joined Local Space in October 2018 and is responsible for our housing services and asset management functions. Mark has worked in the affordable housing sector for 17 years and has experience in establishing and guiding organisations through periods of significant growth, improving performance in housing & asset management services and managing complex regeneration projects. Mark joins us from Dolphin Living in Westminster where he delivered award winning new affordable housing products such as Personalised Rents & the Home Ownership Accelerator. He previously led the start-up and management of the affordable housing provider’s operations at East Village London (formerly the London 2012 Athletes’ Village).
Corporate Services Director
Catherine’s career spans Local Government, Social Housing and the NHS. She has held Director and Head of Service level positions in HR, Corporate Services and Facilities Management. Catherine has successfully supported organisations in corporate wide business transformation programmes. Her knowledge and experience underpins a track record where strategic aims and objectives are aligned with resources and actions planning to ensure success.
Josie is an experienced Finance Director and comes to Local Space from Colne Housing in Colchester. She has robust experience of business modelling and development and new business appraisal. Josie’s approach to finance is as the enabler of the organisation’s ambition. So her strategy is to see how we can do more, not to say we can’t. Josie’s has a track record in meeting all key core compliance targets and covenants. At Colne she delivered the IDA action plan focusing around finance and financial compliance that enabled a successful V1G1 in January 2018.
Caroline has worked in social housing for 32 years with local authorities and registered social landlords. Much of her work experience has been in challenging inner London Boroughs. Caroline has specialised in housing management and leasehold, but has significant experience in repairs and maintenance, asset management and running regeneration schemes. She is particularly interested in finding new ways for residents to influence services and ensure continuous improvement.
Stephen joined Local Space September 2016 and is responsible for the delivery of the organisations new build and property acquisition programmes. Stephen has worked in public sector housing for more than 30 years, during this time he has worked for Local Authorities and Housing Associations, and covered a range of responsibilities within housing and property services.
Jitinder joined Local Space in March 2016. Previously she has worked at a regional housing association as group director of business development with responsibility for social, market and student development. Jitinder has also held numerous non-executive positions with housing associations, the Chartered Institute of Housing and the National Housing Federation. She is currently a board member of HACT (Housing Associations’ Charitable Trust).
Jitinder joined the organisation in March 2016 as Chief Executive and has worked in the social housing sector for over 25 years.
Clive is Vice Chair of Local Space and has held a number of senior roles in local authorities, housing associations and government agencies in London and the South West. He has recently retired as Chief Executive of a large housing association.
Jessica is a specialist in financial and commercial advisory to the public sector and has a strong track record in housing and mixed use regeneration schemes. She is currently the Head of Commercial Ventures at Newham Council, leading on land and property deals
Richard is a chartered accountant and spent most of his career as a partner in a major regional firm of chartered accountants based in London and the Southeast until he left the City in 2012 to join a client in the subsea engineering industry as their CEO. He is an experienced non-executive director in both the commercial and housing association sector including roles with 26,000 home Family Mosaic (Board Member and Chair of Risk Management and Audit Committee until June 2017), and 6,500 homes, Saxon Weald, in Horsham (Board Member and Chair of Audit & Risk Committee from June 2017). He is a keen swimmer, cyclist and hockey player, and is Chairman of Purley Hockey Club.
