We currently have nine Board Members and these are:
Richard Reynolds (Chair)
Richard Reynolds is Chair of Local Space and also Chair of Meridian Home Start and Weald Property Developments and also a Non Executive Director of Breyer Group Plc and a Patron of Discover (The Children’s Discovery Centre in Stratford). Previously Richard chaired Redrow Homes London, Orbit Homes 2020, Aldwyck Housing Group and was Vice Chair of a London NHS Hospital Trust. He was also a Non Executive Director at Pinnacle PSG, Guinness Developments Ltd, Guinness Homes Ltd, Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation and CityWest Homes Ltd (The City of Westminster’s ALMO).
Before he retired in 2006 Richard was responsible – for nearly 25 years – as Managing Director for all Barratt activity in the East Thames Corridor from and including London to the Kent and Essex coasts.
With over 30 years of experience in the development sector, Martin has worked within the private and public sectors with a wide variety of stakeholders including large PLC house builders, small private niche developers, and housing associations. In 2012, Martin co-founded Essential Living – now one of the foremost Build to Rent developers in the southeastern UK. Martin is a member of the DCLG Build to Rent sub-committee and is a member of the London Urban Transformation Commission. Martin is also a member of the British Property Federation Residential Board.
Caitlin is a policy and research professional and is currently the Head of Strategy, Planning, Policy and Insight at Peabody. She is also a trustee of Health Improvement Project Zanzibar.
Tim has more than 20 years’ experience in customer service in a number of industry sectors, including: housing; telecoms; charity and IT. He has been working for L&Q, London’s largest Landlord for the last 12 years where his is currently Group Director, Customer Services. He is responsible for L&Q's Customer Services including Maintenance, Housing Services, Customer Relations, Income Collection, Procurement, Health & Safety and Leasehold Management.
Manu joined the board in May 2017. He works full time as a credit analyst Reorg Research where he undertakes financial research. Prior to joining Reorg, Manu worked as a Vice President at Canaccord Genuity where he advised a number of HAs and mid-market corporates on treasury management and capital markets fundraising.
Cllr Tahmina Rahman
Tahmina is a creative professional who has lived in Newham all her life with experience working in the arts and media communications for a number of years along with private and third sectors. She was a Games Maker in London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games as a Technology and Media Team Member. She is currently the Executive Member of New Media and Finance and Advisor to the Mayor of Newham; also works at the Photographers' Gallery within the Visitor's Relation and Digital Audience Research team. Tahmina is Cabinet Member for Equalities at Newham. She also sits on a number of committees including the Newham Pension Fund, Investments & Accounts and is Vice-Chair for its Local Planning Development committee.
Richard is a chartered accountant and spent most of his career as a partner in a major regional firm of chartered accountants based in London and the Southeast until he left the City in 2012 to join a client in the subsea engineering industry as their CEO. He is an experienced non-executive director in both the commercial and housing association sector including roles with 26,000 home Family Mosaic (Board Member and Chair of Risk Management and Audit Committee until June 2017), and 6,500 homes, Saxon Weald, in Horsham (Board Member and Chair of Audit & Risk Committee from June 2017). He is a keen swimmer, cyclist and hockey player, and is Chairman of Purley Hockey Club.
Jessica is a specialist in financial and commercial advisory to the public sector and has a strong track record in housing and mixed use regeneration schemes. She is currently the Head of Commercial Ventures at Newham Council, leading on land and property deals.
Clive has held a number of senior roles in local authorities, housing associations and government agencies in London and the South West. He has recently retired as Chief Executive of a large housing association.
